A number of these military vehicles have been purchased and are being used for site-seeing excursions in towns along the shore area.  I've seen them in Salem, Hyannis, Boston, and here in Plymouth.  This time, I decided to take one of the tours, particularly since this gives a good view of the Mayflower II from the water.  You spend about half of the tour time (one hour) on land and the second half cruising in the water.  If there are any children aboard, the driver usually gives them an opportunity to steer the "boat."

For the land segment part, we saw the Jenny Grist Mill, 1640 Sparrow House (oldest house in Plymouth), Plymouth Rock, etc.  We then drove to the Town pier and into the water.
