0.7 L 0.5 Main Street // Commercial Street - to Medina Lift Bridge
1.2 R 0.2 Cross bridge over canal and enter canalway bikepath
1.4 R 10.9 Canalway trail - to Albion
12.3     Albion - to visit Albion restaurants and historic cobblestone buildings go right on Route 98 and cross over canal.
12.3 ST 9.5 Canalway trail - to Holley (Gulf Road) lift bridge
Caution:  Do not use Route 237 (Main Street) into Holley - Gulf Road lift bridge is 0.7 miles further.
21.8 ST 4.5 Canalway trail - to Brockport - to visit Brockport go right on Main Street
26.3 ST 5.0 Canalway trail - to Adams Basin (Washington Street)
31.3 ST 3.0 Canalway trail - to Spencerport
34.3 ST 5.3 Canalway trail - to Long Pond Road - restrooms are available at Greece Canal Park about 3.6 miles from Spencerport (follow signs)
39.6 R 0.2 Long Pond Road - Cross over canal and turn right to access canalway trail
39.8 ST 5.4 Canalway trail - to Greece
Caution:  There are 3 busy at-grade crossings in this section in the town of Gates.  You must dismount and walk.  Lyell Avenue (1.8 miles from Long Pond Road) Buffalo Road (1 mile) Chili Avenue.  Also the pavement is very rough in this section.

44.1 ST 4.0 Canalway trail - to Edgewood (Lock 33)
48.1 ST 1.3 Canalway trail to Clover Street (Lock 32)
49.4 ST 1.0 Canalway trail - exit at E Park Road
50.4 ST 0.4 E Park Road
50.8 R 0.2 Brock
51.0 R 0.2 Monroe Avenue (Route 31) - and onto Canal path and to Shoen Place.
51.2 L 0.5 N Main Street / East Avenue
51.7 L 0.4 S Campus Drive - Nazareth College, O'Connor Complex - End of day 2

 

Prior four photos show a bed and breakfast right along the Erie Canal.  Overnight accommodations should be no problem to find if you would like to do this ride on your own and you don't want to tent it.  Room prices were very reasonable.
