http://www.bethany-fenwick.org  12th Annual Ocean to Bay Bike Tour.  Saturday, April 21, 2001, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Ride benefits CHEER Ocean View Senior Leisure Center.  All registered riders will receive a free long-sleeve t-shirt after the ride, with a finale party at the Harpoon Hanna's Restaurant from 5-7 p.m.  Registration fee:  $25 per adult to April 13, $30 per adult day of the event.  $15 per child.  
 
http://www.bigride.com Looking for something to do this summer?  How about 6-1/2 weeks, 3250 miles, Seattle to Washington, D.C.  This ride is done each year through the American Lung Association.  Their schedule for 2001 is expected to be on their site sometime in February 2001.  They also have a number of three-day weekend rides.  (I participated in one a few years ago and had a great time. Paul Newman provided Saturday night spaghetti supper for all 250 of us.)  
 
http://www.lungusa.org  American Lung Association of Massachusetts - Autumn Escape Bike Trek - usually in September - Plymouth to Provincetown.  $40 registration fee.  Riders must raise and pre-collect a minimum of $400 to help support the American Lung Assn. of MA.  A two-day ride is also available for a minimum pledge of $300.  Trek Hotline:  1-800-LUNG-USA.  Really great prizes for the top fund raisers.

http://www.hpchallenge.org 2nd Annual Hyannisport Challenge.  Ride begins at the JFK library in Boston and runs 85 miles to the Kennedy compound in Hyannisport.  There is a 20-mile option that begins at the Sagamore bridge.  At the end of the ride there is a clam bake on the lawn of the Kennedy compound.  Tel:  1-800-718-3536.
