Mill Bridge Village and Campresort
Herr's Grist Mill, constructed in 1738 by the Pequea Creek, was the center around which the village was built. 1929 was the last year the mill operated. Around this time, some of the village property was sold to the Amish and Mennonites for farming. The 1816 Miller's house is furnished by the Amish as they would live today. The one-room school has been furnished with desks, blackboards, wall charts and art work drawn by Amish students, all acquired from a local One Room School in Lancaster County. A 50 minute film runs continuously throughout the day, "A People of Preservation." Craftspeople demonstrate broom making, candle making, quilting, etc. Your buggy ride will take you through the longest covered bridge in Lancaster County (included in the admission fee). If you are camping here, there is no charge to go through the village. Ice cream parlor and village store.
