Lac Aylmer - St. Joseph-de-Beauce  57.6 or 67.3 miles
Tuesday, August 6, 2002 - Day 3

Many scenes such as this during our biking day.  Canada has some beautiful farms and countryside.
Above three photos were taken at the Thetford Mines.  Asbestos was mined here - no longer used in Canada or the United States, but was still shipped to some of the Third World Countries.  Very minimal mining still going on.  The small items seen are some of the vehicles left there - bulldozers and trucks.   The entire town of Thetford Mines is on top of mine shafts!
