Ride magazine was well represented Heading out for the "expert" mountain bike ride.
This was a popular event - the partners had to switch mid-way on the route.
The kids were really enjoying the events. I love this name!
A number of exotic mountain biking trips are offered. Dirt Rag - Biking publication for the avid mountain bicyclist.
Terry Bicycles had a couple of demo mountain bikes at a great price as well as a large variety of riding apparel for women.
Gorilla on the roof!
This was an independent endeavor, not one of the scheduled events.
This is the SRAM's Slip 'N Slide event.  Those participating were hosed with water and salad dressing to slide easier.  This little girl liked it so much, she was back for a second and third try!
The guys enjoyed watching the gals do this. Volvo was one of the major sponsors.

You set up your tent next to your vehicle in a couple of huge open fields. Food vendors were set up from early morning breakfast to evening supper and snacks afterward.
Getting ready for one of the rides.
Bottled water was donated by Rainbow Distributing. Rides were scheduled for beginners, intermediates and experts.
Bike Maintenance Seminar sponsored by Pedros.
The object of this event was to pick up the tire....
then toss or place it over the traffic cone. Bike Maintenance for women.
Bicycle Limbo Contest This guy was riding a miniature bike.
Some didn't quite make it. My vehicle, tent and next-door neighbors.
This was the infamous Trek Bog Mud Race.  Two categories - up to age 14, age 14 and up.  Both male and females entered.
Some didn't do too well!  There is a 2nd cyclist who tumbled, bike and all, over the hay bale and into the crowd - You can see his leg  (no one was hurt, but a number were muddied!)
Oops!
This guy was called the "Mud Man" - he was completely mud-covered, head to toe.
This gal did a really good job! A number of folks decided not to rough it.
My next-door neighbor was longer than his tent!

You actually get to ride with celebrity and pro riders:  Volvo Cannondale's Carmen Richardson D'Alusio and Tinker Juarez; SRAM's Greg Herbold, Subaru/Gary Fisher's Pavel Cherksov, Bike Magazine Editor Vernon Felton, etc.

Mountain bike rides for all participants from beginner to expert.  Evening musical entertainment provided.  Trike races, wheelies contests, long pull, obstacle course, bicycle limbo, Trek Mud Bog, SRAM Slip and Slide.
