| Activities began on Opening Night, Thursday, June 22
7 - 11 p.m, with a Swing Band Concert on the grounds of the Pilgrim Monument and Museum
(charge).
Friday, June 23, featured the Kids' Fishing Derby at Fisherman's Wharf from 10 a.m. to
noon, then music, clowns, face painting and entertainment on Ryder Street. 12 - 4
p.m was the Portuguese Soup Tasting and Entertainment at the Bas Relief (charge). 3
- 6 p.m., concert by Mary Macquire at Ryder Street. From 5 - 9, Homecoming Clam Feed
at Bas Relief (charge). 6 - 9 p.m., concert by Nelia and Band at Ryder Street.
10 p.m., Special Reunion Performance by the Provincetown Jug Band at the Surf Club
(charge). (They were one of the feature events last year on Saturday afternoon.)
Saturday, June 24's events included: 9 a.m. - noon - kids' games, prizes, face
painting, clowns and cookout. 11:30 - 7:30 p.m., Food Court at Bas Relief featuring
Provincetown's fine Portuguese fare. 2 - 4 p.m., traditional Portuguese dances in
colorful native costumes. 5 p.m. was the FESTIVAL 2000 PARADE. 5 p.m. to
Midnight, Block Dance.
