Transform yourself back to the English Elizabethan era. Over 80
stage and street performances. Sing pub, wench auction, trial and
dunk. Dozens of artisans demonstrating their craftsmanship and
selling their unique wares. Two parades daily - the Queen and her
entourage of colorful lords and ladies, knights, jesters, and minstrels.
Play games of chance and skill. Three action-packed jousts each
day, including one full armoured. Human chess games, storytelling,
May pole dance, jesters, old-world rides and amusements.
Elizabethan drama and other theatrical productions staged outdoors in
woodland setting.
I was really impressed with this fair. We cyclists were allowed
free admission (usual price is $14.00). I spent about three hours
wandering around and could have spent another three easily. I am
planning to travel the New York Seaway Trail next year with my motor
home and bicycle and will plan to be there for a weekend.
